the point is we're not supposed to put student GPA's on here. Feller specifically said something against it. Be nice to the people and respect their privacy.
I hope USF is able to get back on track and that the MCC isn't too harsh on this.

I'm guessing they will have to forfeit their 1st semester wins and after they discovered it and reported it.The games they didn't play her they would keep those wins and still be able to play in the conference tourney.I wouldn't be surprised if the conference doesn't allow her to play the rest of this season though.USF has at least 2 conference wins after they didn't play her. They should win vs Grace&Goshen but still have to play IWU,Taylor,Bethel&Marian. So if they do have to forfeit the 1st semester games they should still get around 6 conference wins at least. That would put them around a 5 or 6 seed in the tourney.

USF is still twisting in the wind until the conference tells them their punishment. If HU wins 3 of their last 4,I figure they will play USF in the 1st round. That's if USF has to forfeit the 1st semester wins.

Its the MCC call on punishment for USF.Maybe they will make USF the #8 seed in the conference tournament and will have to play Bethel in the 1st round. ;D

Why is it the MCC's call on punishment? The NAIA sets eligibility requirements. If she was ineligible according to the NAIA, then it should be ruled on by the NAIA. If it was one of the "stricter" MCC rules, then I can understand that, but that would be the only reason for the MCC to rule in my opinion.

Several years ago Bethel had a similar situation with a junior volleyball player. She dropped below full-time hours during the season (down to 11), and after it was discovered we self-reported to the MCC and NAIA. We had to forfeit all games that she played (which took away our conference championship). On top of that, the MCC ruled to take away an additional year of eligibility from the player. She could not play her senior year. This was appealed to the NAIA but the national office would not step in and rule. They allowed the conference to decide the punishment
That was extreme, and I hope that the conference is more compassionate this time. This situation is perhaps a bit more serious in the fact that it appears that SFU did not properly review transcripts or apply eligibility rules correctly. The fact that they caught the error and reported is commendable.

I hope USF is able to get back on track and that the MCC isn't too harsh on this. A couple of items. First, one of the women's assistant coaches at CU confirmed to me that Saint Francis had to forfeit the games in question, making the Lady Golden Eagles 22-7, rather than 21-8. Second, Feller and others are right about the privacy issues. The law is called FERPA - the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act - and it affirms that anyone who is 18 or older has exclusive rights to their personal academic information. Not even their parents can be informed about grades, etc., without the written permission of the student in question. So to put someone's GPA or other information on here, or in any public forum, is technically a violation of federal law. "Let the poster beware!"
