More interesting Q&A's from the Indyhshoops most recent twitter bag article....
What is your opinion of Nic Moore? Some people feel Indiana missed on him and some don’t.
I think Nic Moore is a great high school player who specializes in scoring and making tough shots. He may be a tad underrated, but I don’t feel that he is a Big Ten recruit. Moore is a great scorer at the high school level, but he is a player that I think would struggle to score at the high major level because of his size. That being said, I think Moore will excel at Illinois State, and should go on to have a great collegiate career.
Who is the most impressive player you have seen thus far?
The most impressive prospect I have seen this season is 2014 forward Trey Lyles. The 6’8 freshman has a unique blend of size, skill, effort and basketball IQ. He’s not a freak athlete, but the way Lyles plays the game shows mental and physical preparation, as well as a desire to get better. Lyles has great long term potential, but has also been an impressive player at the high school level.
Could IU possibly have a third recruit in 2011?
It sounds like Indiana is keeping tabs on 2011 big man Walter Pitchford. The former Depaul commitment is receiving interest from Indiana and several other high major schools. I plan on watching Pitchford this evening, and should have more insight to offer into his play and recruitment after the game.
Where do you think Gary Harris will end up and how soon will he decide?
I’m not certain of where Harris will end up, but if I were forced to give a gut prediction I would say Indiana or Michigan State. The logic behind my thinking: both are schools close to home, equipped with great facilities and able to offer Harris a fair amount of early playing time.
As for the second part of your question, I feel a little more comfortable answering that. I expect Harris to decide sometime this summer, being methodical with the recruiting process and taking his time. Things can fluctuate, and he may opt to take official visits in the fall, but either way I wouldn’t expect a Harris decision too soon.
He went on to say in a response to a seperate question that he believes, ... Harris has visited Purdue recently, which shows his interest in the Boilers. Members of the Purdue staff have also been in to see Gary on multiple occasions, indicating their interest in him. The longer the Harris recruitment lasts, the better chances the Boilers have to sway him.
