then they go into overtime and nearly blow their first conference game...
They have the talent, so what is the problem?

There isn't a problem...they are 9-0.....with an impressive win against a solid ball club that rarely loses at home.

nice spin...
The fact is...they have one of the top 2 or 3 guys at nearly every position in the conference, if not arguably the best person at 2 positions, and they struggle against much more mediocre teams.
They should be dominating (like my post indicates), but they have played very little against decent teams, and nearly lost.
Shoot, this better be a gut check game for them. IWU and a couple other teams will be able to give them a better game then Grace.
And their record at home hardly matters. They have only had that gym one year, and they had a MUCH better team last year.

So this is why the games are played and we don't go by the numbers on paper or pre-season stuff. Maybe Grace isn't so bad and will do some things this year. Last time I checked, a win is a win. Teams always seem to play out of their minds against Bethel as well. With a win against IWU, Bethel has a very good chance to go 17-0 before returning from FL to play at Spring Arbor who is always tough.
With regards to Bethel getting DH from M. City, I think that it's a big step to replacing Will. I've actually heard that if Hopkins can stay healthy, he has potential to be better than Walker. I'm excited!

I'm interested to see who takes on the challenge of William Walker from IWU's side.
Landon Adler has the height but since I've never actually seen him play I don't know of his defensive prowess or lack there of? Personally I think Coverstone is a little slow to handle WW and is a better matchup on both ends against Lettinga. I think many IWU fans have been waiting on Coverstone to bust out with a big performance in a big game for awhile now. Hopefully against Bethel he can do it.
I think both teams boast two of the best sixth men out there in Caleb Laidig and Will Hubetz. I think Bethel's starting five might be a little stronger but I think IWU has more depth. I've stayed out of the Pick' Em thing on here but if I had to guess I would say Bethel takes this one 79-74.

You mean Wes Laidig...Caleb is the 7th man.

Tonight's big high school game in North Central Indiana has to be defending 1A State Champions Triton playing at Plymouth.
There are a number of kids playing that are being courted by several MCC programs....if you can't make it to Weikamp tonight then I would suggest this as the 2nd best option for some hoops tonight.

Caleb Hadden - Plymouth Colton Kiel - Triton Griffyn Carpenter - Triton
I have to make this disclaimer, I don't know of any specific examples of MCC programs recruiting the above referenced kids....but I'm willing to bet my (insert any personal items) on these three guys being on the calling list for a few MCC programs. In fact, I believe Griffyns father played for the Pilots.

If you can make it to Plymouth tonight, you need to drive the extra 40 minutes up to Bethel and watch some great basketball. No offense to Triton v. Plymouth but it is high school basketball.

Yeah, wasn't that the year Ryne won the game for NW at Concord on the FT line?..... I think yes. That was a great game that I will never forget and glad I attended in my Northwood gear!

Actually it was at Northwood that year and we won the game... Ryne and Dairese went off for 30+ each and the game you speak of was the next year.
