Finally it's time.....tonight the Pilots (0-0) tip off against the Purdue North Central Panthers (1-1). I haven't received my 2008-09 media guide so I'm not able to post scores from previous years, but I believe Bethel has taken care of PNC recently.
PNC is currently 1-1:
Loss @ IU-East 89-64 Win vs. IU-NW 71-66
Leading Scorers:
6-2 Guard Avance Byrd (11.5 PPG) 5-7 Guard Derek Harrell (11.5 PPG) 6-4 Guard Shawn Martin (11.0 PPG)
Leading Rebounders:
6-2 Guard Avance Byrd (5.0 RPG) 6-3 Forward Cameron Hudgins (4.5 RPG) 6-4 Guard Shawn Martin (4.5 RPG)
Bethel Projected Starters:
PG - Kory Lantz (SR) SG - Ryne Lightfoot (JR) F - Mark Lettinga (SR) F - Tyler Brown (JR) F - William Walker (SR)
Questionable/Out With Injuries:
Joey Welch (shoulder)
TONIGHTS GAME WILL NOT BE BROADCASTED BY RRSN.

Bethel by 15. I think a lot of the bench guys are going to get some time.

Why isn't this going to be on RRSN? I'm hoping to make it to the game but that was my backup plan. Will WSBT or the Bethel radio station be broadcasting or are we pulling a blackout like the Detroit Lions?

I think it's a blackout. I was told that Bethel has decided to cut back on some spending for broadcasts this year, but it will not effect the conference season. Below is a link to the first semester broadcast schedule from our friends at Regional Radio Sports Network. Note that it's subject to change. www.audiosportsonline.net/RRSN/Bethel2008/Basketball/Basketball2008.htm

I think 35 is a bit much... I would guess Bethel by 15-20...
The Pilots are deep and I highly doubt Lightfoot will keep his A-Team out there long enough to blow out a team by 35. Who knows though, I don't know how bad or good PNC truly is.

By the way Fellar, I noticed you have Lantz down as the starter at Point Guard. Is that true?
I know he was running the point a little bit while Lightfoot was out in the preseason scrimmages, etc. but I remember someone even mentioning how it was his first consistent time at point guard since his early days at Bethel. Just thought I would ask.

They are interchangeable.
I guess I'm just always in the mindset that Lantz is the point...it doesn't really matter I suppose.

I could see Bethel winning this pretty easy! They should win by at least 20!
Bethel should come out w/ first game intensity and should carry them to victory!

I'm listening to the broadcast.
Apparently William is being guarded by a guard.
