College Football: sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/austin_murphy/07/08/2008-2009-fearless-football-predictions/index.html?eref=T1Of note: 4. I predict the Buckeyes will launch their run at a third-consecutive national-title game by taking down USC at the L.A. Coliseum on September 13 in what will be the lowest-scoring game of the season for both teams. Laurinaitis, fellow LB Marcus Freeman & Co. will stifle the Trojans' rushing attack, inviting first-year starter Mark Sanchez to beat them with the pass. He won't.
9. I predict that Chase Daniel will carve up the Illini in their August 30 opener, a loss that won't look so bad as the season goes on, and the Tigers take up residence in the top three. Despite a dip in the ground game, Juice, Zook & Co. will win their next six, then head north to Madison, Wisc., for a game that will determine the runner-up in the Big 10.
13. I predict, while on the subject of Nowhere-To-Go-But-Up programs, that after losing a pair of games to the service academies in '07, Notre Dame will cut that number in half in 2008. (It helps that the Irish play only Navy this year, having dropped Air Force from their schedule.)
15. I predict that the third time will be the charm for Brutus Buckeye.

I do not see TT in the championship game. I think it will be the winner of the USC/OSU game and Oklahoma or Clemson.

Hahaha I personally know a TON of UGA fans and they are NOTHING compaired to the toolshed Buckeye fans. Well you live in the Midwest where the dominating football team the last 10 years has been OSU. So you are probably tired of them winning and tired of them beating up on your team and provably just jealous. Tell me, do you cheer for the SEC against OSU? I bet you do because your team will never be in a BCS game and so when OSU loses it makes you feel good about yourself. You have obviously never spent any time in the southern part of the United States. Fans of the SEC are the most arrogant fans/people in general that you will ever meet. There are Ole Miss fans that talk smack to OSU fans because another SEC team beat OSU. It's kinda like they root for all 11 or 12 SEC teams. Have fun watching your favorite team get smacked down by OSU this year.

Ace - I understand you wanting Oohi State to make it back to the title game, but to actually WANT them to play a team from the SEC.....do you really want to go through that again?

Hahaha I actually find myself cheering for the Buckeyes quite a bit. Being a State fan, I love to see anyone beat Michigan. In the past bowl games, I think i actually deepdown wanted OSU to win because I like seeing the big ten do well. Although, being such good friends with a lot of OSU fans, I did find it funny to be around them when yall lost. I cheered for Florida against OSU because I had a friend from high school who was at Florida and was a walk on for the football team. I love your assumptions about what i think and how i support teams or where i have been .... because they are all pretty off base. The past 5 years I have spent about 3 weeks each down south, two of those usually being right in the middle of football season so tell me what its like down there.
My dislike with OSU has nothing to do with jealousy, it much more rooted in the fact that I have yet to meet and know a buckeye fan who was not arrogant and annoying when it comes to there team. And really, thats fine, I like when people take pride in there team. Not to mention OSU has had some terrific season in the most recent years, and I dont see that changing too soon.
It's ok, dont take everything so personally.
