I think what Rubalamp said about HU is very similar to Bethel next year. They very much need size, which they have done, but they will also be young on the inside., It is also interesting that both HU and BC went to Brownsburg to get players. One time teammates in HS will be opponents.

Here's the link to the Twitter feed from CU regarding the signing of Kyle Steigenga. I've not been this excited about a CU signing since Wes Hudson signed on with us. I'm not trying to put undue pressure on Kyle by any means, and he is a very different type of player than Wes, of course. But this is a great pickup for us. Go Golden Eagles! /photo/1

Lance Martin of Kingman Academy in Kingman, Arizona has signed to play basketball at Cornerstone University. He is 6'3 and 170 lbs., and is the son of Jeff Martin, who is originally from Wyandotte, Michigan. I don't really know that much about him, but I'll try to find out what I can.

Always feels like guys are transferring there. I wonder what the percentage is of guys that actually start and finish at Tech??

You do realize that IWU just won a National Championship in large part due to their transfer from Indiana State, not to mention all the transfers they got this year. At the NAIA level, scholarship situations make it more feasible for some schools to take transfer students as opposed to those out of high school.

You do realize that IWU just won a National Championship in large part due to their transfer from Indiana State, not to mention all the transfers they got this year. They had one this past year (Mahurin) and they will have two this coming year (Marlin and Mawhorr). Darrian Mikel transferred from Purdue, but never played at Purdue. Spencer Harris, Landon Adler and Eugene Green all transferred into IWU during Tonagel's first few years. That is six basketball transfers into IWU during Tonagel's career. Am I missing somebody? Have you ever looked at Indiana Tech's rosters over the years? They have six transfers on one team! And transfers happen throughout all of college, not just NAIA. Duke's Rodney Hood was a transfer. How many players did IU just have transfer out? Ohio State has two transfers coming in. Look at one time IU commit Matt Carlino. Has he made it to double-digit schools yet? Pilot, I agree with you on Indiana Tech!

I don't think Grushkin tried to hide the fact that bringing in transfers and JUCO players was his approach to recruiting. At this point it looks like Peckinpaugh will follow that approach, but that may only be because it's his first year and hasn't had time to reach out to the high school players. Either way, you would be hard pressed to find a final four team in Branson that doesn't have a D1 transfer on their roster.
