some sources are starting to report that Burke is headed to the NBA.
So much for that.
Also, Smotz is transferring. I wish you people would listen to me more......

I don't believe Burke will make the jump; I think he is merely testing the waters and gaining some experience. One of my main reasons is based on Carlton Brundidge, who made the decision to transfer today. He joined UM at the same time as Trey, but saw very little minutes this year because he wasn't college ready, and Burke is obviously better. If Trey were to leave, Brundidge would be the only remaining player capable of playing PG. It seems like Brundidge made a rash decision on his future if he wasn't very confident in Burke's plan. That is my way of rationalizing the situation at least.

Haha... Feller I love how you play like you saw this coming. Smotz showed in the Ohio game that he has value to this team and I do believe this is a pretty big blow for them having to replace him in the rotation for next year. I too believe Burke will be back, but that's what I thought about Morris last year so who knows.

Burke is projected to go #28 in one mock draft.... I really think he is just testing the waters. Fellers right, IU will probably be picked higher than Michigan in next years preseason poll, but that is not the one that matters.
I do love drawing the comparisons between third most important spot at Michigan and IU's best!

Sounds close to the Shelvin Mack situation last year...projected for late first round, and slipped to second round...that first round guaranteed money for 3 years is pretty tempting. Especially when people see young guys get career ending injuries like Oden and the other guy from Portland. If that had happened to them in college, they are out all the money they could have gotten. More often than not, guys that see guaranteed money tend to go for it.
