I've been pretty upset for CD9 today thinking about how much effort he's put into this comeback.
He's 23 years old....should have a chance to play in at least one World Cup. The emergence of Edson Buddle and Hercules Gomez in recent times eases the blow of losing CD9.

Ya right Bob bradley has brought us to the place where our soccer team can actually compete! ya it sucks losing davies, but its his fault!!! i mean im just thankful hes alive after his accident! but that only means he has a couple more WC to play in!! and as for myself im very excited about the group that we are playin in and cannot wait for them to build off their confederation cup just a year ago...

He broke team curfew....snuck out of the team Hotel.....and proceeded to go partying with some girls that night. He then decided that he would get a ride back to the hotel when there was clearly alcohol involved.
I'm sympathetic for CD9 in this incident, but the underlying issue started with his refusal to follow team rules.

Obviously, he shouldn't have been in the situation. But to say the injury or accident was his fault... is a little much, don't you think?
I mean, with that scenario, you can say it was Yeardley Love's fault for being murdered because she dated the men's lacrosse player.

It's his fault he was in the situation...........period.
I'm not sure how you can debate that.

I think there is a glaring difference here.
1) Charlie Davies had rules set in front of him....which he broke.....
2) What rules did Yeardley Love break by dating a guy?
I know we are now a nation of not accepting responsibility....but goodness Incognito, you don't have to carry the torch.

We are not a nation of accepting responsiblity; however, we are a nation of placing blame.

I'm pretty sure there is no way you can blame this girl for dating a guy who was seemingly a normal individual.
You can place blame on Charlie Davies for doing exactly what he wasn't supposed to do in the first place but still chose to put himself in danger, not only by ditching curfew....but by entering a car at 3 in the morning that was being driven by someone under the influence.
