So basically this should come down to the US, Mexico, and Costa Rica if all teams play up to their potential?

The last Gold Cup had Canada, USA, Guadelope, and Mexico in the semi-finals.
I actually anticipate Canada putting quite a push forth in this Gold Cup. Mexico and the US won't be fielding full strength teams, not even close.

I've been somewhat excited about the tournament because there is a boat load of very good youngsters that are plying their trade in MLS which have been given a shot.
Chad Marshall Robbie Rogers Stuart Holden
Those guys will be staples in World Cup 2014, mark it down now.

No one in CONCACAF is all that competitive outside of the US, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Occasionally a team like Honduras will pull an upset, but not Grenada.

Trinidad & Tobago had a good showing in the last World Cup.
If you just go by results then you would think otherwise, but considering their lack of numbers and depth they really played very well in Germany.

Solid performance by the US tonight. Goals from Quaranta and Ching.
Benny Feilhaber and Charlie Davis looked outstanding when they entered.
