Interesting............I'm goign to give him a call tonight and try to get the scoop. I would think that they would be sending him to Pawtucket after this callup. He will be a September call up.

In todays MLB world.......AAA has become a graveyard for a lot of people. That is where you find most of your "tweeners" in the game.

I notice a lot of people get called up from Double A and I always scratch my head too...I have understood that Triple A becomes more Vets of the minors, but it seems a backward system somehow...

Justin has had two very impressive starts so far for the Red Sox.
I was watching.....but promptly turned it off once he was subbed out.

BOSTON (AP)—Rookie Justin Masterson pitched 6 1-3 strong innings one day after Jon Lester’s no-hitter against Kansas City and the Boston Red Sox silenced the Royals bats again in a 2-1 victory Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old Masterson (1-0) allowed one run on three hits in his second major league start. Jonathan Papelbon ended a bases-loaded threat in the eighth by striking out Billy Butler and pitched a perfect ninth—with two more strikeouts—for his 13th save in 15 opportunities.
The Red Sox needed Masterson after a rainout Friday night forced them to play a doubleheader on Saturday. He was recalled Tuesday from Double-A Portland.
